37.0197-7.96821Faro Airport(FAOIATA).This small airport is the principal route into the Algarve, with budget flights from across Europe and especially the UK and Ireland; Air Transat fly from Toronto. TAP fly from Porto and Lisbon, the latter is only worth taking to connect off a long-distance flight. The airport has the usual facilities including car hire and cafes. Local buses 14 and 16 run every 30 min from downtown and continue out to Praia de Faro beach.(updated Feb 2025)
